It is always recommended that ladies urinate shortly after intercourse to avoid the opportunity for bacteria to enter the urethra. It sounds like you are on the right track. If you cannot tolerate the cran juice, you can also try cranberry capsules/gelcaps available over the counter. It might also be beneficial to use a dollop of antibiotic ointment (polysporin) directly on the urethra. Avoid colored panties and stick with breathable cotton to help eliminate additional moisture build up. It would be a good idea to abstain until your symptoms resolve. Monitor your temperatures and try ibuprofen for discomfort - 800mg every eight hours. If necessary for pain relief, you can alternate 1000mg tylenol with the ibuprofen every four hours (eg, tylenol @ 12:00, ibuprofen @ 4:00, tylenol @ 8:00, ibuprofen @ 12:00). Don't let it get away from you as it can easily progress into a bladder or kidney infection... Best of luck.

the best way is prevent it from occurring but since you already have mild symptoms it is best to consult a registered professional doctor to prevent it from getting worse...
Cranberry juice definitely ... but also try sitting in a warm bath w/ epsom salts at least once a day. What you want to do is disrupt the living conditions for the bacteria.
And stay away from the warming jell ... I had a bad experience with it too. Try Astroglide.
Cranberry juice and more cranberry juice also try going around the house in maybe a loose dress with no underwear to get lots of air to that area. Wet (from sweat) underwear in the summer and bubble baths can cause these problems so keeping the area dry and clean and drinking cranberry juice is your best prevention. Also my sister said that CVS pharmacy stores or whatever your local pharmacy store has an over the counter pill you can take that has cranberry ingredients in it. SHe said it worked on her within one day.
pick up some azo's, and drink lots of cranberry Jucie. Water is not enough, also a warm compress helps but stay away from taking baths. It makes it worse!!!
Go to your local health food store & purchas cranberry pills.
Drinking the cranberry juice, can cause a bladder infection, because of all of the sugar in the juice.
Good luck.
I just got over the same thing from that Warming KY jelly if feels good but it has after effects.
