a ? about contact lenses?????

Question: ok i have the soflens 66 toric contacts. after 2 weeks of wearing them i am supposed to get new ones. what if i wear them longer?my friend has contacts and she wears them for a month. on the other hand i heard that they can cause an infection. I am very good at keeping them clean. any advice???

Well, there is a difference between daily wear contact lenses and disposible lenses. Daily wear lenses tend to be able to endure the punishment of being worn, washed and worn again repeated (mine usually last an average of a year). Disposible lenses tend to tear or rip after a month or so (longest I've worn was 3 months before the edges started to fray).
