How to cope with hypothryoidism?
Question:
Answers:
first thing is you thyroid med correctly regulated? If it isn't checked frequently every 6months at least if could be off and that alone could be throwing you off. second, your thyroid med is supposed to be taken without any other meds or foods on an empty stomach(not all pharmacies tell you that, my first did not). there are some reports that say soy interferes with it's uptake so try to not eat so within a reasonable time frame of your thyroid med. also make sure that it isn't just you tsh levels being checked but all thyroid functions sometimes one may be OK but the others are off that just happened to me. If these don't work make sure there is no other underlying issues that may be causing it ask to see an endocrinologist. they specialize in this. good luck. also other meds such as antihistamines can interfere with the uptake as well.
( i have hypothyroidism too)
I thought they had meds to juice up your metabolism, but I guess you would know better than me. Weight loss always comes down to burning more calories than you consume. Eating fewer calories is easier if you eat a diet that keeps your blood sugar from rising a lot after you eat. Thats what diabetics do, so try looking at diabetic literature and eating like they do.
