help for teenage girl-period question?

i'm 13 year old and i have a hero and she's 19. She's really like a sister to me but i'm afarid to tell her that part, but she knows she's my hero. But any who, I have already started my period (at 11). But i want to ask her how old she was when she did. I dont wanna sound nosey thought. It's really hard for me to talk about things like this. I want her to trust me like i trust her! I can't talk to my mom about it at all. But i was wondering if anyone knew anyways to ask, because i'm pretty nervous.

Don't be nervous. Actually, it's more common talking about periods than you think. Girls do it all the time ( when the boys are out of the room). I got my period at 11 as well.. so that is very normal.
