Period/Menstruation?!?

Question:

So, I went to my doctor for an exam and I don't have a hernia, but during the exam, he asked me whether I had started my period yet. I'm 20 and have not started my period yet. He wanted me to go to a gyn/ob specialist to examine my pelvic. Does anyone know, what they do in the exam and what happens if I haven't started my period yet?

its just about the same exam, he will do another pap test. but he is a obgyn specialist and will be able to run more test and find out what exactly is going on with you. Dont get all worked up about it, all you have do do is lay there.

mostly likely first a pap smear after that test they will determine what other test to take
