Thyroid problems??
Question:
Answers:
You could have two different types, either over-active or under. Mine is under-active & I have to take synthroid every day. My syptoms were extreme sleepiness. Would fall asleep sitting up after getting home from work. Also, an increased weight gain without a change in eating or exercise habits. Extreme mood swings. And finally, the one that got me to the doctor, hot flashes so bad I would have to sit down.
They were not sure what caused the problem. It is easy to diagnose. It only takes a blood test. Mine has been easy to regulate. I only have to go in about once a year. I have only changed my prescription twice in thirteen years.
My wife had dark circles around her eyes and her neck was swollen. She had to have it removed. She has to take a thyroid pill six days a week now. She has a check up every year now.
