am 13 and have never had my period before. I have been getting discharge for abou a year now. Sorry if this is gross, but my discharge was brown yesturday and today. It is a light brown. Is it my first period? I had it one day, then it went away. Since it stopped could this be pre period spotting. I have been getting cramps for about a week

it could very well be spotting. you're still young, though. do you know how old your mom was when she got her first period? that will help you determine when yours is coming.

I dont think its a real period yet, but it does sound like your close. keep some pads ready, and have some mydol and tons of chocolate on hand
