Is Hypothyroidism a subject to be worried?
My mom has hypothyroid problem ,now her thyroid is normal ,everything is normal of her body,but she is still worried and tensed so i m also worry about my mom.Please somebody tell me the solution to this problem.

I have Hypothyroidism. I have to take a pill daily for this, Synthroid is the name. I have had this since i was 18. It can be life threatening if you do not take your meds. Your thyroid gland helps to regulate every organ in your body. So if you dont take the meds to keep it regulated then you are going to throw your whole body off kelter. But tell her not to worry about it, as long as she is taking her meds and getting regular TSH testing done, im sure she will be fine. I've dealt with this for 10 years. My doctor told me that it does run in the family so you may want to have yourself checked for this as well. Good Luck! I hope this helps your mother in some way.
