Stitches in vaginal area..... how long they take to dissolve and recovery time?

Question:
Ie - from surgery in that area or childbirth?
How long to wait to resume sexual relations?

Answers:
They can take a couple of weeks and may be sore for a time. You may find it helps to keep a jug by the loo and rinse the area with clean water after going to the loo to keep the whole area clean.

Putting salt in your bath will help, you can buy salt for this purpose at most supermarkets. This will speed up healing and help recovery.

Now - how long to wait before resuming sex? That's entirely personal, but the medical profession will advise about six weeks after childbirth. I don't want to advise irresponsible action, but I will say from my own experience that they are erring on the side of caution here, and three or four weeks is OK, so long as you feel well and your stitches are completely healed. (Sexual activity could rub your stitches and irritate them, allowing infection to take hold if you don't wait till they are healed).

Have fun - but wait till those stitches have healed properly!
I have never run into this problem....probably cause i dont have a vaginal area....but the stitches I got on my chin were gone in 2 weeks
good luck with that lady

these stitches are not "dissolving", they're edible. when your husband/boyfriend chews them out, it's time.
