is it normal that a 27year old female has a higher sex drive than her 40 year old live-in boyfriend?

Question:
been togeather 2 years still avg. 4 or 5 times a week but always seems to be just in the bed

Answers:
People have different levels of libido (sex drive) even if they are the same age. There are things that can lower a persons libido like stress, tiredness, illness, side effects of medications, etc.
There are some things that can increase a persons libido like testosterone if his level of that is low. Some times spicing up the sex life can make a difference.

There are highs and lows in our sex drive according to our age.
Supposedly a mans sex drive is highest at about 18 y/o while a woman's is highest between 30 to 40 y/o, but it varies. Also men are usually thought to have a higher sex drive than women.

Repressed anger can also affect how often a person desires to have sex with their partner.

You talk about 2 issues. You imply by your question that you would like to have sex more often than 4-5 times a week and also that doing it only in bed is a little bit boring. I suspect that you would like to be quite a bit more adventurous about this. You might try to talk to him about this and see, if you haven't already.

Other Answers:
Women peak around 40 (average)
Men peak 16/26 (average) Obviously someone younger is going to have a larger sex drive. more energy, more concentration on physical needs rather than emotional needs.

as far as the seems to be just in bed thing.. that has nothing to do with sex drive- that has everything to do with communication and voicing your want to try something non traditional and experimenting.

so my advice on that would be to talk to your partner and express your desires- he might want to try them out with you.. you never know until you ask.. and he might even have his own thoughts about what he wants to do. That's all communication.
