brown stuff?

Question: I have not had a period for about 10 years I was put on metformin 3 months ago have been cramping for about 2 days now . This morning I noticed this brown stuff when I wiped wasnt sure so I stuck my finger with a wet wipe in my hole and it was coming from there , is this the start of my period or what.

The brown stuff is probably old blood (red is newer, brown is from higher up or is older, usually). Your period should be on its way.

Yes sometimes it can be brownish but it's usually in one of the multiple shades of red. I would talk to a nurse to be sure if I were you.
