My wife is pregnant for 3 months and she has a problems about vomiting?

Question:
As she vomits, she loses weight, and we suspect whether the baby gets enough nutrition or not ...
any ideas ?

Answers:
I have 7+ years as a nurse in the area of OB-GYN. the best thing for nausea and vomiting as far as over the counter products go, vitamin B6 is the best thing. buy her a bottle and take it as directed on the bottle. and she should use this in addition to her prenatal vitamins. if it doesnt help, she can ask her OB doctor for an injection of Vit B6. offices do have it available, she should also keep saltine crackers beside her bed and eat a couple when she first gets up. having an empty stomach will make the nausea worse. she feels nauseous because when you first get pregnant levels of estrogen sky rocket and some women are sensitive to this. have her take the crackers wtih some sips of 7-up also. every morning before even getting out of bed. hope this helps. and yes the baby is still getting nutrition, as long as she is able to keep something down every day.
normal
