Trip to the gynecologist ?

Question:
My periods are irregular and I want to conceive a child... I have been married for five years and still no children..I was wondering what questions should I ask my Doctor and what kind of test should I ask him to do ?

I should also say that in the five years we been married we never tried to conceive but we also never used protection..

Thanks

Answers:
I had this same problem. Irregular periods and no pregnancy. Come to find out my progesterone levels were low, so even if I did conceive it wouldn't have worked out without the help of a medication called "Clomid". It helps you to ovulate every month and it keeps your progesterone levels in check for a healthy pregnancy. If your OB/GYN does suggest this, he/she will want to do a blood test montly to see where your progesterone levels are at. Your doctor, too, will want to know, if you are prescribed this, if your periods have come back to normal. Once your progesterone levels are up, you will want to get off of Clomid. After all, it is a fertility drug and I personally didn't want triplets!
sounds to me like you were practicing some type of birth control, Start trying and see what happens. If the doctor puts you on clomid, give some to him too. He will be your personal pornstar.
