my menstrual cycle is messed up. i had a period on 7/21/06 and not one since- can i be pregnant-had sex 8/23?

Question: I stopped taking the pill in March and had normal 28 day periods until the end of May. Then I did not get one until July 21. I did not have sex until August 22nd and still have not had my period, is it possible to be pregnant? I have what feels like cramps but no other symptoms - have had them for about a week.
