Will going off the pill help you lose weight?

I know the pill makes you gain weight, so will it be easier to lose weight if I am off it? My husband is gone for work for a few months so it's not like I really need it right now.

I would say that going off of the pill will help to lose weight because you won't feel like feeding for two, but unfortunately once you go back on it, you will be getting symptoms of over-eating again. Going off the pill wouldn't be your long-term solution.

Personally, there aren't any guarantees that you will lose because you are off the pill, I would be worried about having a baby more so then losing weight, if hubby is in the Army, why don't you just start doing PT. Exercise and diet is a better way to go to lose the weight you want to lose then going off the pill. You wouldn't lose anything in a few months anyway, it took more then a few months to put it on, so double that to take it off, that is what my doctor told me when I asked him the same question.

I hate going on and off the pill.it kind of throws my body out of whack. I don't know how you feel about it, but consider that. Also, doesn't it take a month of being on it or something like that to really count on it as a reliable method of birth control? Maybe you'd be better just to stay on it and save yourself the problems of readjusting in a couple of months.
