Most BC pills don't stop your period because you only take them 3 weeks a month. Then you have an off week so that you can have your period.

non of them should stop your period. If they are you need to talk to your doctor. Your cycle should be very regular on the pill. If you arent having periods on the pill call your dr as soon as possible. Of course, most of them don't. You just need one with the right hormone level for you.

It can help regulate it. Just stop taking it the last week of the month, and your body will clense it's self. Otherwise, you can take the pill for three months straight and the have only 4 periods a year. You can do that with ANY pill, don't let them make you think it has to be a special one.

Birthcontrol certainly doesn't stop your period--- being pregnant does. Think about it! Everyone I know has their cycle when taking the pill, it may just be lighter or shortened. I also had my cycle regularly with the pill. Your pills may be too strong which might be causing the missed cycles. I would consider calling my doctor if you feel this concerned about it, and discussing it with them.

I haven't come across any. They're supposed to regulate it but I haven't found any that do that.

There are many different levels of homones in the pills and the patch. I would ask your doctor. If the regular pill has stopped your period I would get a pregnancy test first then discuss with your doctor the different levels of birth control pills for you. Most women still have a period on birth control pills, but some do not and this is usually considered normal and harmless. If you are on the pill and not having a period, it is most likely because part of the function of the pill is to make the endometrial lining (the part that is shed during a period) thinner. In some women, it becomes so thin that it doesn't get shed each month and so there's no period. This is not harmful because the endometrial tissue isn't building up in the body. I have been on the pill for over two years and my doctor recently told me not to be surprised if my period stops because it has been getting progressively shorter and lighter. Check with your doctor to make sure that everything is ok, but most likely the lack of a period is part of the normal functioning of the pill. If having a regular period would make you more comfortable, ask your doctor for a different pill. You may have to try a few different pills before you find the one that works best for you. Just try something different. Everybody reacts differently. Talk to your doctor about changing your hormone dosage.

this, of course, does not include the kind of birth controls described by your doctor that let you skip periods, which is really just taking the pill for a longer stretch of time than a 21 day stretch. I know of the perfect remedy to periods. My sperm.
