is it normal to not want sex when hearing that your hubby has diabetes?

Question:
I knew he had developed it,as his mom and grandpa had it. Now that he has ED, I don't want it with him ( not that I would cheat, but ...?) and he knows why. It has really made our marriage worse. he sleeps on the couch, and oral and fingers do OK, for awhile, but a woman wants the real thing! He and i cant afford viagra. But my question is , is it normal for this to happen?? I am not to say i don't have a sex drive, cuz I do... but still...?

Answers:
Yes, it is normal and not necessarily an easy thing to deal with for either one of you. It would be normal for him to dream of sex too even if he can no longer perform. His mental "sex" level is probably still there.

Self sex is a solution for any physical urges. It will not kill the longing for phyiscal sex with a man. My father was diabetic and had similar problems my mother worked very hard to arouse him and it worked but only now and again.

Best wishes,
If you cheat you would regret it almost right away. Not something he can change.
