Answers:
The most common vaginal infections are bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, and vaginal yeast infection or candidiasis.

bacterial vaginosis

Vaginal infection resulting from a change in the balance of naturally occurring bacteria, allowing disease-causing bacteria, especially Gardnerella vaginalis, to predominate.

trichomoniasis

A vaginal inflammation caused by a trichomonad (Trichomonas vaginalis) and resulting in a refractory discharge and itching.
An infection caused by trichomonads, as a disease of cattle that commonly results in infertility or abortion in infected cows.

Yeast Infection (vaginal)

Vaginal yeast infections, also called "Candida vaginal infections," typically are caused by the Candida albicans fungus. During a lifetime, 75% of all women are likely to have at least one vaginal Candida infection, and up to 45% have two or more. Women tend to be more likely to get to vaginal yeast infections if their bodies are under stress from poor diet, lack of sleep, illness, or when they are pregnant or taking antibiotics. Women with immune-suppressing diseases such as diabetes and HIV infection also are at increased risk.

Hope that helps, those are the three most common, and I tried not to get too specific for you,. you asked for the main ideas or points, so you got um,.

Hope it helps, Dora
