how will i know if she's already menopause?

Question: hi there... my mom is in her late 40's and these last month she didnt have her period... she was thinking maybe she's already menopause... how can we know??? can anyone help us? thanks.

you need to be at least 6-8 months without a period. She'll know when the hot flashes are starting and if she wants to be exactly sure the doctor can feel her tummy and tell her,whether her ovaries are shrinking or not.
