Hi my gf wants to ask a question: She is 26 and gets migraines (or so she thinks)?
Question:
They make her very bitchy too and annoyed with ppl and less patient.
Any ideas what we could do?
Answers:
Yes, send her to a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. The effect on the self-healing power of the body is simply amazing, experienced it myself! :-)
Just - the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing approx. 220 dollars. It's really worth travelling far!

Has she been to a neurologist or even a DR? My friends mom had headaches like that, it turned out to be tumors. (I don't think it lasted for years though). She really should have a cat scan done. Also drink lots of water.
yes, I strongly reccomend that she see a doctor and asap, it may not be migraines that are causing the headaches, she needs to have an mri or cat scan done to see if something else maybe causing the headaches.
So, please do not wait, schedule her for an appointment as soon as possible.
Sounds like she may have a neck problem that is causing her to have migranes. Definately something to ask the doctor about and they can get her on some meds that will help with the occurence of migranes. The only thing that works for me is naproxin sodium.its like Aleve.
MIGRAINE HEADACHE CAN BE CURED CONSULT A HOMOEOPATHY DR. GOOD LUCK

could be high blood pressure, sinus check it out
I get migraines too.here's how you can find out if it's a real migraine (and BTW, I have to sleep it off for a few hours too):
sensitive to sound and light?
gets nauseous or even throws up?
dizzy?
sees spots (not always, but sometimes it can happen)?
if most of these are answered by yes, then it's a migraine. I suggest going to a doctor to get meds that if she takes at the first sign of one coming on can get rid of it within 30 mins.!
If it truly is a migraine there are symptoms which are
sensitive to light and sound
nausea or throw up
see spots in vision or "sparkle"
If she has these then yes she has migraines and yes they do get worse over time I have had mine since I was 13 and every few years they change on me and I have to go in for a new CAT scan and make sure everything is alright. She definitely needs to be seen my a doctor so that she can be checked to make sure everything is alright, see if it is truly ruled a migraine and if it is don't worry there are lots of different treatments now and they will work with her to find the one that works best for her. There is also some great information on web MD that is great for some other things to avoid if it is migraines, foods that are best to avoid, things that can help to avoid a migrain, and things to do to help a migrain go away faster so I would encourage you to read those articles they are very helpful. What I can say to you is be patient with her if she gets a little less patient with people when she is like that and try and help out in any way that you can, a migraine is one of the most painful things that you can experience it is indescribable and because it is all contained in your head and people cannot see the pain most people think you are making it all up. Have some patience and let her know that it will be OK and you understand and you know that she is hurting it will go a long way, but the first thing you defiantly need to do is get to a doctor and fast the sooner you do the better you both will be. Good luck and if you have any other questions my email is the same as my screen name just add the yahoo.com part I will help as much as I can.
