If you usually have a light flow--then all the sudden you have a very heavy flow--I would DEFINITELY check with your doctor. I know I passed out in school once cause my body was used to having a light flow and I had one month that was really heavy. I will pray that everything is ok.
Yes you can bleed too much during your period and it not be normal.

Yes, it is a problem if you bleed too much, especially if you are feeling drained from it. You can become anemic from losing too much blood. Too much bleeding could be a sign of a greater problem so I'd mention this to your doctor.
