I went to my gyno about a missed period and he gave me birth control pills, do I take them now ?

It says to wait until day one of your period or the sunday after.. I dont know if I should start them now anyway ? Does anyone know if I should and what would happen with my period if I did?

If it's negative, I would begin taking them this Sunday, because the missed period then means that your hormones are unbalanced and the pills will regulate your periods.
