Yeast Infection?
Question:
Answers:
For prevention of yeast infections try wearing cotton underwear more often. Don't eat a lot of dairy products. Don't take a lot of hot bubble baths. Do not douche. Keep your vaginal area dry and clean. Use vaginal wipe cloths. Use condoms during sex. If you don't, your partner may need to be treated also. A yeast can be passed during sexual intercourse. If your partner has a yeast infection rub Monistat cream on the tip of the penis before bed time. Take Herbal Extract Plus. You can order them at www.herbalextractplus.com. They are support tablets for chronic vaginal infections. They really work!!! You can also buy acidophylis (not sure how to spell it) pills at a local drugstore. This is the culture found in yogurt. Instead of using creams to treat the symptoms, ask your doctor for Diflucan.

I've heard that eating yogurt can help. The bacteria in yogurt works against the cause of yeast infections. Try it--it may help.

If you think your frequent vaginal infections may be related to using a diaphragm, intrauterine device (IUD), spermicidal foam or jelly, or condoms, discuss other birth control options with your health professional.
Wipe from front to back after using the toilet, to avoid spreading bacteria from the anus to the vagina.
Wash the vaginal and genital area once a day with plain water or a mild, nonperfumed soap. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
Change tampons at least 3 times a day during your period, or alternate tampons with pads. Remember to remove the last tampon used during your period.
Wear cotton underwear and avoid clothes that fit tightly, such as tight-fitting jeans. Cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothing help prevent the genital area from staying warm and moist, which can promote the growth of yeast cells. Tight-fitting clothes may cause skin irritation leading to a rash.
Remove wet bathing suits and exercise clothing promptly.
Avoid douching.
Avoid the use of feminine deodorant sprays and other perfumed products. They may cause genital skin irritation or an allergic reaction (contact dermatitis).
Avoid unnecessary use of antibiotics. Taking antibiotics exposes you to the risks of allergic reactions and antibiotic side effects (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, yeast infections) and may kill beneficial bacteria. If you are taking an antibiotic, using lactobacillus organisms (such as yogurt) orally or vaginally may help prevent vaginal symptoms.
Having multiple sex partners and not using condoms can increase your risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), which may increase your risk of a vaginal infection.
Urinate after sexual intercourse, and rinse your genital area with cool water.
Limit intense exercise, such as bike riding or horseback riding, that can irritate the vulva.
My mom told me after youve had sex you tend to get them more.
Also, everytime my mom has sex with my dad she gets one, but he doesnt have one, I dont know whats up with that but *shrug*
Yeah I know disturbing but my familys really open =/
Like a month after I had sex for the first time I got a yeast infection, so dont feel bad, Ill prolly end up like you getting them every other month. *sigh*
Just tell the doctor to expect a call from you and have a perscription ready , antibiotics for it come in pill forms i think.
Good luck!
you should find out the reason why are you getting it. like for me i will get it especially im on antibiotic course.
ways to prevent it:
1. wear cotton underwear (i heard it helps)
2. dont wear pants which is too tight as moisture and warmth will promote yeast infection
3. douching (personally i dont like this because it will change the normal flora in the vagina area and it might make things worse)
seriously speaking, you need to find the cause before you can prevent it.
if this occurs very often, you should see a doctor regarding this. because it might due to diabetes
