it depends on what treatment you have. i have 2 types. the Lletz is most painful and you do get sharp pains after it took 4-6 weeks for the cervix t heal after that one. the best thing to do is have as many hot baths as possible, it really does help. the other is Cautury, this was less painful i just had pain killers and was back to normal within 3 weeks with this one. the bleeding should go within 5-7 days sooner if your lucky. just make sure that you don't do any heavy exercise for the first few weeks as this will slow the healing process down.

Hi I had Lezt diathermy treatment two years ago, I bled for about three days and had pain for about a week, I took over the counter painkillers like ibuprofen and paracetamol. By my 6 week check up my cervix had healed and I've had no further problems since. Remember to use barrier protection as the pre cancerous cells are often due to the HPV virus thats sexually transmitted. Good Luck X
