A Female Friend of Mine has Quite a lot of Rectal Bleeding, Red and "Most the Time". What could this be?
Question:
Answers:
There could be many reasons which can only be diagnosed by her doctor. A couple of non-urgent conditions I know of:
It could be hemmarrhoids (also known as piles )
It could also be an anal fissure. This is a tear in the tissue around the anus. It can begin to heal and then re-open when your friend has a bowel movement (very painful) which causes it to bleed.
I would have thought that since she knows that she has a low white blood count she must already be seeing a Dr, so she could mention the problem to her/him. If shes not then maybe you could offer to go with her for support.
Hope shes ok.xx
She needs to see a doctor ASAP. Not a good sign!
