why do I get so spacey on cough medication?
Question:
Answers:
because of the alcohol in it, usually to help aide sleep..you dont have a great tolerance, but the more often you take it, the more your body gets used to it and it wont affect you the same way
Other Answers:
Because most cough medicines contain some form of codeine.
Many cough medicines have ingredients that can cause drowsiness or 'spaciness', as you aptly call it. So it's not recommended to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking them.
If you have to take cough medicine in the middle of the day, try a none-drowsy formula like Dayquil.
Good luck!
could be the dextomathorpan (sp?) in it. try to eat a lil something before taking it.if you take too much w/o food it can make you nauseus
Depending on where you live, some over-the-counter cough medications contain very small amounts of opiates while others contain something called psuedo-ephedine (Like sudafed). This is the drug that used to be available over the counter as a weight loss drug. And sudafed is a prime component in the making of "Ice" or crystal meth.
