Could I be pregnent?

Question:
I have had 2 kids already. My periods have been wonky since my son died last year.I had my perios over 1 week ago and now i am getting a reddish brown dishcharge which is almost like a very light period. Not on any birth control, what do you think the odds are that I could be pregnent

Answers:
I am no doctor, obviously, but I do expierence this discharge as well. It usually follows a shortened or regular period by a few days. It happens when I am stressed, depressed, or dehydrated. The doctor told me that it is caused by lack of fluid (usually extra water), to flush the uterine lining in full, so it basically stops mid period, lets the body refuel and then comenses emptying of the excess tissue and menstrual blood.

Hope that helps, but as always see a doctor if you have any more concerns, or this discharge doesn't cease.

Dora (; Hope it turns out how you'd like it to, and I am very deeply sorry to hear about your son. I miscarried and I know how that effected me, you actually got to know the beautiful child growing within you, it must have been so hard. May all the comfort in the world find you.

Other Answers:
you could be pregnant if you had intercourse after your last period that came over one week ago, but as a doctor I believe that you are not, because a pregnant women will not get a period , even a light one, and will have the symptoms of a pregnancy such as nausea and swollen breasts, wich are very nonspecific, either way if you feel like your chances of being pregnant are high you should take a test ASAP in order to diagnosis the pregnancy as early as possible and start your pre natal care with a doctor and also make the necessary changes in your life as a prenant women
