Is it normal to be bleeding and having your period, when two weeks ago you had brown discharge for 10 days?

Question:
That's what's happening to me now. I never had sex or taken birth control pills.

Answers:
It is not normal, but probably not bad either. Brown discharge is OLD blood. It may have been trapped inside from your last period, and was now coming out. It can also be normal if you have just recently started having periods. You should worry if you are bleeding RED blood when you are not due for your period. It is always best to see a Dr. though, women have a lot that can go wrong with them, regular Gyno check ups are the safest way to keep healthy, and to detect any serious problems before they get out of hand.
I always know when I am going to start my period because I get the brownish discharge first and then will start bleeding red blood a couple of days later. I also get the brownish discharge at the end of my period. If you are really worried go to a gynecologist otherwise, I would consider it "normal" and as the other answer says..."old blood". Hope this helps!
