Any body ever had a pain that radiated from the top of your tailbone?

Question:
It is not stemming from a falling injury. It is also not swollen, at least not externally. This pain is making me uncomfortable when sitting down b/c my butt hurts. I think it’s sitting on a vein b/c it’s making my lower back ache too. If you had this pain before, what cured it?

Answers:
You may have an ingrown hair in your bottom. Even the soft little white hair on your skin (like the hair on your face) can get ingrown. It will form a cyst or a puss filled cavity that has to be lanced by a doctor to remove the infection. It could also have been caused by a spider bite while you were sleeping.

Check with a chiropractor - if you don't know of one - your personal physician could refer you.

This website might help. Sometime Motrin helps because it is an anti-inflammatory drug.
you problem is coccyxdynia or pain in the coccyx. This can be caused by many different conditions such as lumbar disc pathology, imflammed nerves or infection. With no trauma, infection is most likely so you need to see a physician.
Oh yes! being shoot with a taser by the Miami Police Department!
you may want to go to a chiropractor. It could be a stress fracture that you didn't know you had, or your back could need to be adjusted. I had pain where I couldn' t sit or stand or sleep. The doctor found why I was thought to have stress fractures but in reality I didn't. Go to a chiropractor that is not a sports medicine doctor. One who believes that the nerves in your spine actually connect to the rest of your body (they do). ALso, stress fractures may not bother you until years later.
