Its just the hormones going wild!!

Apparently it is very comon, so dont worry!

yes its a fact pregnant women do lose their memory and can make you very forgetful and sometimes clumsy even after giving birth, it usually wears off but can stay with the affect, i call it baby brain, its medically proven too, wierd ahh, i think its the hormones changing the chemicals in our brain, it is very common because everyone i knew was always loosing keys or things of that sort. i dont know why though. i know i got really clumsy when i was pregnant. i think alot of it is the body and hormones changing evrything focuses on that instead of remembering things.

woman thay ant tempory mad thay are mad

Not as a general rule, but there is a certain percentage of women who have such problems.
In modern terms these are often subsumed under the word "post-natal depression", although that is only one of the conditions a woman can develop in the post-natal state.
A combination of medication and counselling usually helps the patient to overcome the problems.

is not insane --- just temporary memory loss --- but is always most usual with " single parent " or " unloved " pregnant girls

not common in good stable marriage situation

you tell me --- o k

concern with this situation is----- does she love the CHILD ?

cos often --- with this condition --- an unloved mother with loss of memory --- can truly forget --- she ever had a CHILD --- and the " child " is very important

please be sure --- the child is cared for ----- and then --- worry for mums memory

my deepest concern

yours

Yeah I did - forgetful and totally unorganised - it alright now 8 months later No not mad and it affects some more than others. It's all down to hormones which can have a very powerful effect on emotions. During pregnancy women suffer mood swings, tearfulness and even depression. Immediately after birth most women have a few extreme crying fits for a few days then get back to normal. True post natal depression can start around 3 months after the birth and needs medical attention. I was a little forgetful, maybe its' partly because we are so preoccupied ! It's a big deal you know ! (wink)

This is very common, and is due to the fact that the baby gets priority for nutrients. The baby's brain is developing, so needs a lot of omega 3 and 6. As a result, mum becomes deficient, and this can affect her memory. This is reversable, and her memory will get better.

The problem ban be helped by eating pleanty of oily fish, which contains omega oils. There are also supplements available especially pregnant women (eg MumOmega), but I know lots of people don't like to take supplements, especially during pregnancy.
