my friend has recently told she has lung cancer can she still fly?

Question:
she says the doctor said yes but i dont believe that any one there to help me please

Answers:
Yes she can fly as long as she has a letter of consent from her consultant, if she requires oxygen she will definitely require a letter from her dr, but she may not be able to supply her own oxygen but have to purchase it from the airline itself!

Other Answers:
Yes.
Doctors know everything.
dont see why not if the doctor says yes go for it
I would say the doctor knows what he's talking about, so I'm sure it's okay. I don't see why that would stop her being able to fly.
Sorry to hear the sad news!!
Unless the cancer is causing respiratory distress ie shortness of breath...compromised chest activity etc then I would say it would be safe to fly. If your friend is in a position that a situation could occurs whist flying the Airline need to know as he/she could be a medical risk. Airlines are not happy people when they have to divert a plane mid flight because of a medical emergency.
Good luck.
if the Dr says yes she can try not to worry Hun
Depending on how long she has had it for.
