yeast infection that is resistent to o.t.c prescriped anti fungal and boric acid please help?

Question:
i have a yeast infection for about a year now. I been to many gynecoligists, first i did the over the counter, didn't work. Then prescribed anti fungal meds (spornox, diflucan), didn't work. Then the doctor painted me purple with venitian violet, and had me take boric acid, that didn't work. I'm in a dilema. It sucks having this...its gross. I changed my diet, everything. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Oh yeah i got tested for hiv and diabetes all normal :)

Answers:
Try taking acidophilus. You can get it at any healthfood store or supplement shop. Basically it replenishes the body with "good bacteria" that are needed to fight candida excess.

Many of these stores also sell candida/yeast cleanses and that may help also.

In addition cut refined sugars and flours out of your diet (think white bread, cookies, cakes etc) These are like superfoods to candida and can keep yeast infections chronic.

Are you on birth control? Some birth control methods make women more succeptible to yeast infection, particularly spermicides that are on condoms. My gynocologist put me on progesterone only pills because I couldn't handle estrogen and because spermicides were giving me difficult to manage yeast infections.
Have you tried taking acidophilus/multidophilus supplements? You can also try eating a lot of plain or vanilla yogurt - with low sugar and live/active cultures. Another thing would be to cut out all flour/refined sugar from your diet if you haven't already done so.
