Girl help?

Question:
I've had my period for years now but I just started using tampons and I followed the directions exactly and it seemed to work, but I can feel it just a little bit. Is that normal for the first time, or did I do something wrong? Maybe they're not right for me?

Answers:
Hi carly,
no it's not you i've been using them for about 15 yrs. now i have two children 4 and 5 and i still feel them. If it's a little uncomfortable and seems to be sticking you sideways remove it and try again. Sometimes i have to insert alittle then put tissue over my finger and insert the rest of way. Your uterus could be slightly tilted. Good luck.

Other Answers:
It could be that you didn't push it in far enough, or it could be that your body just isn't used to it right away. If it feels like it is already pushed in far enough, you might want to try using a less absorbant tampon and gradually move up in absorbancies, until your body gets used to it.
