Yasmin Birth Control?

Question:
Ok, I have been on yasmin for about 2wks which i started to take it the sunday that my period started.. and since then i havent quit bleeding so it equals out to 2 wks..so im wondering if that is normal.. of course ive called my dr and they said that it is normal to have "break through" bleeding for up to 3months!! i just dont see how that is healthy to bleed 3 months strait!! is anyone else having the same problem!!

Answers:
I started new pills this month also. not Yasmin, but I started my period two weeks early. Dr. said it may take 2-*3 months to regulate my cycle. I dont think you will bleed for 3 months, but it is normal to have a "wacky " cycle for that length of time. If you continue to bleed for another week, call the Dr. again. I'm with you girl.new b/c pills are a pain! just keep supplies handy and make sure you feel ok. Good luck!

Other Answers:
my daughter was on Yasmin birth control for a couple of years. During that time she has stomache pains. nausousness, throwing up, numbness of the leg and a few other things. We did test after test to see what was wrong with her. Finally a dr. suggested it might be the yasmin and she quit taking it.. Funny she is much better now..I'd stop taking it and get a different brand of birthcontrol. hope this helps :)
