yeast infection?? serious answers plz?
Question:
Answers:
Typically, vaginal yeast infections present with thick, cottage cheese like discharge. Most women experience intense itching and sometimes a burning sensation. Swelling is common from the resulting scratching that occurs.
Yeast infections are very common and women can also have them without knowing. Yeast infections occur from a disturbance in the natural flora of the vagina (the normal bacteria is changed, which allows the yeast to grow like mad) Antibiotics are known for causing yeast infections to occur because the antibiotics kill off the good bacteria and not the yeast, which is a fungus, has an opportunity to flourish. Hormonal changes can also cause yeast to grow and non cotton underwear/ tight clothing as it doesn't allow for air circulation.
There are many over-the-counter remedies that women can use to treat the infection, like Monistat. However, if a woman is not sure what the infection is, she should see her physician to make sure it's not another type of infection, that won't be cured by an over-the-counter remedy.
It does sound like a yeast infection and if you're suffering, I'd sure head to the store! :)
Hope this answers your question! Have a great day :)

That is common for women after taking antibiotics. Sounds like a yeast infection to me but I would still go to the DR and get it looked at. And if it is a yeast infection then the next time you are given an antibiotic ask the Dr to give you a prescription for some yeast infection meds in case it happens again.
The antibiotics have started a chain reaction in your system. Read on the web all you can on: "candida overgrowth". One thing that will keep popping up is "colloidal silver". It kills candida. You take one teaspoon twice a day for a month or so and it goes away. I've used it for toenail fungus and it worked better than anything the doctor prescribed. It's available at better health and supplement suppliers.
