can you walk with a broken hip?

Question:
after a fall can you walk and still have a fractured hip

Answers:
It's rare, but I've seen a person with a broken hip (hairline) fracture that walked on it. It progressively got worse causing more pain and the man to seek out medical care.

Other Answers:
Depends on how bad the break is, and its location.
Yes you can still walk on a broken hip but it depends on how it is broken. If it is a bad fracture there is no way the person would be able to walk. There would be no support for the person to stand on it. If there was an incomplete fracture the person might be able to walk on it but would continue to have pain. Hip fracture sometimes become impacted and here again the person might be able to walk on it but the pain and discomfort would not allow for them to do this for to long.
