is it true??

Question:
is it true that our body could become immune to birth control pills? Ive been taking seasonale (the 4 periods a year) for over 2 years. ive never heard of such a thing. wouldnt you notice if the pills stopped working? especially if your oonly supposed to get 4 periods a year? any sources would be great.

Answers:
no
to become immune, your body has to develop antibodies to what ever is attacking/bothering it
birth control supplements estrogen & progestrone into certain times of your cycle to fool it from releasing new egg cells
these hormones occur naturally in your body, and will not trigger an autoimmune response
