Women only! Serious answers only!?

Question:
My boyfriend and I had sex last night and I was on my period..well kinda...it was nearing the end so it was light. Anyhow it felt like the opening was swollen and tight. Does this happen during your period? It still feels swollen...I have never noticed before but then again I wasnt having sex during my period. I had a pap and STD testing two weeks ago so I know that everything is ok...but the Dr did tell me that I had a bacterial infection (not sexually related), I havent had the money to get the antibotics. I wonder if this is realated or if its something else. Please help...serious replies please.

Answers:
Personally I would not have sex until I got this cleared up. you are going to cause further irritations and it could eventually cause the infection to get worse. Just because something is not an STD doesn't mean it's cannot be passed. You can get a urinary tract infection and pass that to your partner, just like you can get a throat infection and give it to people by letting them drink after you among other things. It's simply a transference of bacteria. Ask your doctor if they have any samples of the drug you need. drug reps keep doctors stocked most of the time, so let your doc know you cannot afford the meds and she/he might be able to help. Trust me your doc knows how serious it could be if left untreated.

Other Answers:
I have never had this problem with my periods and intercourse. I would get the antibiotics.
I'd make it a point to get that $$ together to get the antibiotics!!
Infections of any sort are nothing to mess around with. The doc obviously thinks you need traetment, so I hope you get it. Left untreated, it could easily become much more serious.
Good Luck, & be well...
It usually feels like that when you're on your period because my friend told me so dont worry be happy.or if you wanna make sure go see your gyno.
Take care of the infection before it starts to manifest in different symptoms.

You could feel this way because of the position, or if a condom was being used. For a few days after your period, your body will not make as much natural lubrication as it normally does. This could cause some extra rubbing which could make you swell a little. I wouldn't worry about it unless it continues for more than a few days, or becomes painful. Still go and get the antibiotics. Or ask your doctor if they have samples because you just don't have the money to buy the medication. If your doctor doesn't have samples, they may be able to contact the pharmacutical rep for the company that makes the medicine and get it for you at a reduced price.
I have sex on my period all the time and it has not happened to me but you know the lips of your vagina swell when you are aroused. You should really get some medicine for your yeast infection so you don't pass it to your boyfriend. Any free clinics in your area?
You need to get the antibotics
See hear is the problem you are having intercourse with a baterial infection, not cool you are just opening yourself to a bigger problem. First of all the vagina is a warm moist place and that makes it easier to have infection, then your going to place something inside the affected area. This has nothing to do with your menstraul cycle it has everything to do with the infection you really need to get your antibiotica before you end up in a n even worse situation.
i've never had that problem, i think u should borrow the money and get the antibotics. it'll just get worse if u dont. i think u should get a second opinion and tell them ur whole story, about the sex and everything, to make sure its nothin horrible!
hope u get better!
