What is a Pelvic Exam?

Question:
What do they do?

Answers:
its just a routine exam are important for good reproductive health. A woman should have her first exam when she is first thinking about becoming sexually active, or as soon as she becomes sexually active, so the doctors can catch any STD's or pelvic cancer. There are two parts to the exam. The first involves a metal or plastic instrument (theres different sizes) that the practitioner inserts into the vagina. Next the practitioner will take a pap smear. She uses a long cotton tipped swab to collect a sample of the cells in the cervix. It can be a little scary for the first time, so try to relax. Good luck

Other Answers:
It is an internal vagina check, don't worry you will be fine.

OK I'M GOING TO TRY TO BE SENSITIVE OK, THEY LYE YOU ON A TABLE AND PUT YOUR LEGS UP IN THE STRUPS THEN USE THIS THING THAT LOOKS LIKE A SPOON (ASK THE DOCTOR TO WARM THE THING FIRST) THEN THE INSERT IT IN YOU VIGINA AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT IT DOESN'T TAKE TO LONG AND IT'S OVER NOTHING TO BE SCARED OF HOPE I HELPED
