If you went to the doctor to get checked for STD's and your test came back negative but your doctor keep?

Question:
trying to tell you that its still possible that you got an STD would you believe her or your test?

Answers:
For some STD's like AIDS there is a lag period where negative can turn positive. You should get a 2nd test in 6 months.
Believe the test. I'm taking medical classes right now and we have studied surveys and other things and it turns out that those test can have what is called a "false negative", which is where you actually do have an STD, but it didn't show up. That actually happens about .2% of the time. You might want to ask your MD why he/she still thinks you have one and go get a second opinion. Hope this helps and God bless.
