What is the best way for a woman to start to get into shape and build lots of muscle w/o using suppliments?


Question:
I used to be in really good physical shape about two years ago and then I got pregnant. However, I used supplements and didn't eat that well cuz of the cost. I now am having lower back problems and with that and the cost of food and additional supplimentation, it has become rather discouraging to try to get back into good physical shape. Any suggestions? Thanks

The best way to make muscle is by working out with weights. Start off slow with light weights and work your way up. Also walking is a very good source of exercise, as it works all parts of your body. I used to use supplements when I was younger, but, I wouldn't even think of it now. Have you thought of joining a women's exercise group? We have Curves where I live and another walking group. I do my own thing myself though, and I find it works for me. Good luck!

I am 44 years old, I have 3 daughters, I weigh 120 lbs, 5' 1"...I am very toned all over...when I had my kids I used to power walk up and down my stairs whenever i could, and I still use the Cindy Crawford workout dvd...it is a really good workout for total body toning...just dont try to keep up with her at first...you must build up to it...it is very rewarding when you can finally go right along with her tho...and the music and settings are awesome...good luck!
