Why don't they use truth in advertising for feminine hygiene products?

There is no truth in those names, the names are used are not just to make them sound like they give assured protection but to also play on menstrual taboos. They use this in all their advertising and products themselves, for example rustle-free pad wrappers, discrete tampons, scented tampons, bleached tampons, because periods are apparently horrible things that only these products can take care of leaving you 'carefree', thus they keep their product base loyal.
Forget the names, how about the truth that tampons are bad for vaginal health, that tampons contain chemicals that are harmful to general health as well as vaginal health, that they once exposed women to dioxin just to make whiter tampons, that they did not bother testing the tampons that killed all those women in the 1980's, that menstruation is not dirty, gross, smelly, embarrassing or anything else negative – if they did that they would have no customers.
Such companies have a fantastic way of using advertising for multiply purposes, you tend not to get this in other 'alternative' options – although you do get names like 'Moon mamma's' and 'Lunapads'.
I'd quite like a poon plug, in fact I'm surprised someone has not already brought out such a well named product, I also love a lot of the alternative advertising you can find – there is one where a pad is advertised using ketchup to simulate blood and wiped all over a scientist in a white coat, if only we had that rather than 'Carefree…look how well this feminine pad…*flower petals float by*…absorbs this inoffensive (because your periods ARE offensive so you need our products!) pretty blue fluid….
cause they know its a big market and will do anything to trick girls into buying the products. lots of money in these products.
