quadruple bypass?

is to low should i worry?had surgery on 07/02. they have her on
meds for it.

My dad had a quad bypass. It took him 2 weeks in the hospital before they released him. He wasn't himself for about 6 weeks after that. Your mom needs a tincture of time. Patience and prayer, if you like.

give her some time to recover, and see if she does any better.. if not the doctor should do something about it.
Lots of reasons why the B/P might be low, some more worrisome than others. If she had good heart function before surgery and now her heart doesn't pump well enough to maintain good stable B/P, that's very scary. Some patients have trouble in the first couple of days after bypass, sometimes due to long pump times, sometimes due to minor heart attacks during surgery, etc. Today would be her second postop day, so she should be getting more stable. When I had my bypass I left ICU for the regular floor the morning of the second day.
The picture should be taken as a whole: Is she awake, alert, or unconscious? Is she off the ventilator, or not? How is her urine output? What kind of meds is she on for her B/P?- Dopamine at relatively low doses is very common and well tolerated, while levophed is associated with a much more unstable situation.
