doing a split....my aching hip.. 2 questions?
Question:
I need to learn how to stretch because im trying to be able to do a stretch so i went down as far as i could one night and held it for like 45 seconds...all three ways and not my hips have been killing me for the past 3 days since ive tried
What are some more efficient ways of stretching to be able to do a split?
What can i do to make my hips feel better

ok for your hips i think you should warm up a heat pack and put it on your hips for a while it helped me
as for stretches here are a couple.
all ways be warmed up before doing these (i mean skipping, jogging on the spot, or star jumps) for 3 to 5 minutes
ok here we go
(1) sit on the floor put the souls of your feet together and pull your feet as close to u as u can, then grab your feet and push youe knees down with your elbows, then lean foward and try to get your head to the ground.
(2)sit on the floor with both legs in front of u and get your chest and head to your legs.
(3)do as above but with only one leg in front the other bend it so the soul of your foot is touching the inside of your leg, then get your chest and your head to your leg, then switch and do the same with the other leg.
(4) now the your all stretched try doing the splits and go down as far as u can and then get some1 to put there hands on your shoulder and push down.
(5) sit with your legs as far apart as u can then lean to one side and hold then the other side and hold then stretch out in front and lean foward and to the floorand hold
if your on smooth floor then put a pillow under your front foot cause it slides foward
hold all stretches for 30 seconds but DON'T push your self to hard or u might tear somthing

First, don't push yourself like that. You'll injure yourself from doing that. If you wanna do a split you should take it like any other exercise: Stretch your body, take it slow, don't push yourself, and pratice everyday. Sounds weird but at least you won't kill yourself.
