thrush ( women only as obviously men can't answer unless a doctor)?

Question:
hi, i have had thrush like all my life, i use the creams the tablets and everything but i can never get rid of it. is there any way that someone else has tried and it has worked. i am on the pill so that is also meant to make it worse.

Answers:
If you are getting constant vaginal yeast infections it means there is some imballance in your vaginal bacterial flora. The female vagina is a battle ground between bacteria and fungus and they both fight each other and keep each other under control. When the bacteria lose (when you are taking an antibiotic) the fungus takes over and you get thrush. The fact that you are always having thrush means there is something wrong with the bacteria there. I have not studdied gynecology in depth yet, but we have talked about eating yogurt every day as a way to put bacteria back into your system. Also I've heard about putting the yogurt up inside of yourself, but I don't know much about that, there are probably websites that tell you what kind to use and how much.

Thrush is actually an STV, A Sexually Transmitted Virus.

This causes itch and a cheesy discharge. The area is often redder than usual. It is often painful too, especially on intercourse, and may be associated with frequency of passing water and burning or pain on passing water. It may, therefore be confused with bladder infections (cystitis). Thrush, however, is usually associated with itching, which cystitis is not.

See your GP or visit your GI medicene centre
i used to get it a few times a year it just went away by itsef i never really gt it anymore but i would sugest shaving fully underneath as it really does help to keep u fresher and also try to use a feminine wash that is specially formulated for down there. hope that helped
It may be because you are never getting rid of the initial infection in the first place.

Also, remember that when you treat yourself, you must also treat your partner as thrush doesn't show any symptoms most times with men.

You must also make sure to wash all you bed linen, towels and underwear thoroughly.

Talk to you GP for a good treatment plan .
i'd be making sure the doctor didn't let me leave the building until
he had a final diagnosis and answer for your problem. You have had this problem too long to be avoided and it is contagious to your partner. So both need to get treated at the same time

Please see the webpages for more details on Thrush(Candidiasis). Please put your undergarments in boiling water and dry them in sun shine for two days. All fungi will reinfect at its own or from others even after complete cure . So don't stop medical treatment abruptly after the symptoms subside.

Men get thrush too. You are probably infecting your partner and being re-infected back again. Even just kissing can spread it if it is in your mouth, and it probably is.

You need to stop all sexual activity and get rid of the thrush. If you don't like the taste of the yogurt that's tough - you either want to get rid of the thrush or you don't.
Try drinking cranberry juice its good for thrush or if really desperate a tampon with tea tree oil on it might give you relief

try cutting out choccy(sorry if you only 16, like me your life may sometimes depend on it!) cheeses and dairy products. also in the summer try going without knickers, if you are wearing a skirt. drink loads of water, nothing sugary though. also cranberry capsules can help, as can using LIVE yoghurt internally @three times a day. giid luck hope this has been some use to you. ps if you do have sex, then make sure you use a condom, cause it can be transfered to your partner, though is NOT a STD.
