the difference?

Question:
i was just wondering if theres really a difference between an IUD (IntraUterine Device) and an IUC (IntraUterine Contraceptive) or if theyre the same thing, just with different names?

Answers:
No, IUD stays in the vagina for up to 5 years. IUC such as the NUVA ring is only good for about a month, then you replace it with another ring.

I don't reccomend IUC's though, my wife got pregnant with them. THe boy is really cute, but damn...we weren't ready.
