Answers:
Try to start losing the weight. Drink lots of water, try walking since exercise will probably hurt. Eat chicken, fish and vegetables for a month or so then back to doc. Should work and after just watch your diet. Good Luck
It is commonly called an INCISIONAL or Ventral Hernia. They may occur in the area of any prior surgical incision, and can vary in size from very small, to very large and complex. They develop as the result of disruption along or adjacent to the area of abdominal wall suturing; in your case, subsequent TENSION placed on the tissue due to obesity. (That d**** pregnancy weight!)

Hernias in this area have a high rate of recurrence if repaired via a simple suture technique under tension and it is especially advised that these be repaired via a TENSION FREE repair method using mesh.

The Tension FREE repair method works by eliminating tissue tension, and able to significantly reduce the risk of subsequent recurrent hernias. This fact is not well understood by many surgeons who repair these difficult hernias utilizing a simple, tissue-to-tissue, suture-only technique.

Examination by a trained Hernia Specialist may be necessary to detect these hernias early on in their development, as well as to repair them properly to avoid recurrence and complications later on.

IN THE MEANTIME, I would wrap yourself with gauze wrap to hold the protrusion in. Avoid any heavy lifting. I would sit and rock your baby, no carrying. Try to stay off your feet for a while, as to not strain the area. Eat nutritous meals; stay away from sugary foods and those causing bloating. Try not to strain with bowel movements. Eat plenty of bran (and/or flax seed supplments) to assist with regularity.

Enjoy your precious little one! :)
unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to prevent it from sticking out. Because it's been strained from heavy weight is what makes it stick out. I had this. Right on the side of my belly button, I had a bump that stuck out but when I touched it, it seemed soft. I asked my doc and he didn't have an answer what it could be. However, when I went into surgery for fibrods, my mother told me they removed the hernia because it was rather large and now nothing sticks out. As much as it annoys you because you know it's there, just follow the docs orders so he can remove it faster. Good luck.
