Is it ok to start Yasmin on a day that isn't the 1st day of your period or the sunday after ur period begins?

I'm visiting my boyfriend and i don't want to have my period during the time of my visit. If i take it the way Yasmin says so, i'll more than likely have my period during my visit.

I'm Lynda too and I take yasmin as well. What you can do is continue with another new strip once you finished the 21 days cycle. Meaning don't stop for the 7 day period.

Start on a new pack once the you finished the last pack. Your period will not come as long as you're on the Pill. And there is no worries about getting pregnant as well.

That said, you mustn't make this a habit.

I take Yasmin and my Dr. had me start taking it when he prescribed it regardless of my period.

That is when my gyno told me to start Yasmin. I took it for two years and never got pregnant, so it must be okay.
