Has anyone had any bad side effects of Depo Provera?

Question: I have had 1 shot. My first, and my last, I will not use this again. EVER. Was just wondering....am I the only one, and if not, what are your experiences?

Answers:
I will never use Depo again. I gained weight (never had before), was extremely emotional and didn't have my period for so long (did not go back for another shot). Then I couldn't stop bleeding-I think I bled for a month and a half. I think we're guinea pigs at this point, that the side-effects are not entirely known. However, some women, like my friend have absolutely no problem (or, at least, don't attribute any problems to the Depo).

I loved the shot, but had a huge weight gain...25 lbs. so i stopped taking it and went back on the pill
