i started the nuva ring but i wasnt on my period because they were irregular i was wondering is that okay?

my period didnt come on for like 4 months and my doctor gave me the ring but everyone says you have to insert it on day 1-7 when your on you're cycle but i inserted it and i wasnt on my cycle because it was irregular and he told me that they should become more regular after the use of the ring so i was wondering am i okay !

unfortunetly i totally disagre on birth control all together i was avid on using it for years and when i was 24 i had a stroke from birth control it a very abnormal thing to do to your body so if you must use something try a diaphram and a condom for extra protestion if that doesnt work for you or just not comfortable talk to your doctor about a very very very low dose pill you can take all in all just dont use the stuff its not safe for anyone
